From Al Goebel and the rest of Houston Fire Station 19, THANK YOU!  Thank you for all that you have done through this ordeal to help our brother Randy, and after his passing, helping his kids.  Word on the street is that you contributed close to $150,000 in donations, shirt sales, the Sheldon/Channelview Firehouse event, and the HFD19 Benefit this past weekend.  There are so many people to thank.  From Capt Gober's motorcycle rides to the support of the HFD StreetMachines, from Terry Lawson's Golf benefit, to the hand so many played in making it all come together.   The Texas Peirce Dealers were awesome and contributed huge amounts of time, money and resources to the cause.  Pat Siddons (Siddons Fire Apparatus)  and Leon Martin (Martin Apparatus) as well as Wendy Goebel (Mariner Realty); Thank You. Yall are great friends to have.  This could go on for pages, but know that we appreciate everything YOU did big or small.  You have demonstrated what Brotherhood truly means, and I know it would have made Randy proud.

ALL proceeds will be deposited in a Trust Fund to be used only by his children, Merranda and Caleb to help them with the road ahead without a father.

We started this fundraising effort when one of our members, Randy Surratt, was in the fight for his life.

Randy was 35 years old.  He had been at HFD Station 19 since he was 'fresh off the tower' as a rookie 10 years ago.

Two years ago he was diagnosed with Lymphoma,  and fought a valiant battle. 

The goal now is to raise enough money to benefit the two wonderful kids he leaves behind.

All money raised will be deposited in a trust fund for his two children:

Merranda, 9

Caleb, 7

We regret to announce the passing of our brother, Randy Bill Surratt on Tuesday April 27, 2010.

His family and friends were at his side as he was called home.

Thank you, to everyone who was with Randy in body, spirit and prayer during his battle.

We are all better for having known Randy and what he stood for.

To his family and his children:

We, the brotherhood of firefighters, are here for you  now and in the future.

Do not hesitate to ask us for help.

We will continue our efforts to support Randy's children.

Events and fundraising efforts will continue as planned,

with all proceeds going directly to Randy's two kids,

Merranda and Caleb.

Rest peacefully now Randy,

We love you, and will miss you.
